Industry Assembly:
Spring, 1953 -- F. H. Toliver, who was the pastor of the Macomb
Assembly of God Church had a vision of planting a church in
Industry. They held street meetings in the main street park on
Sunday afternoons, with the help of Richard G. Champion, who was the
associate pastor in Macomb. Brother Champion along with help from
his youth group and local residents conducted most of the afternoon
meetings in the park.
May 19, 1953 -- An old store building on the corner of Main and
Downen streets was purchased from George McClain. Before it was
ready to be use for those afternoon services, seats were purchased
from a Monmouth church, the floor sanded, a platform built, and the
auditorium painted. Pastor Toliver and Pastor Champion conducted
meetings every Sunday afternoon in the old store front for almost
two years.
 September 4, 1955 -- Rev. D. L. Boyd came to Industry as the first
Pastor.
October 16, 1955 -- The first Sunday School was started with 23
present.

1959 -- The present day location of Industry Assembly at Hickory
Street was purchased from T. Mac Downing, for $1.
1960 -- The first Missionette (Girl's Ministry) group was formed.
 November, 1962 -- A new building had been constructed on the Hickory
Street property and the congregation made the move into the new
sanctuary. The church also purchased the property east of the church
to use as a parsonage.
August, 1964 -- Pastor Boyd passed away unexpectedly.
 October 19, 1964 -- Rev. Clifford Loren Wade became the new Pastor.
1970 -- The Lord blessed the congregation with additional property
north of the parsonage, which was donated to the church by Lelia
Frakes. Old buildings were removed from this property and a
foundation was set in preparation for a new parsonage. A new double
wide parsonage was moved onto the property and a garage was built
from the old buildings that had been demolished.
Fall 1970 -- The church was set in order as an Assembly of God
church with the General Council of the Assemblies of God in
Springfield, MO. At this time the church supported seven
missionaries.
 Spring, 1971 -- The old parsonage was torn down, landscaping to the
front and back lawn as well as a parking lot between the church and
the parsonage was completed.
January 3, 1975 -- The church mortgage was paid off!
April 11, 1976 -- Pastor Wade left Industry to take a Pastorate in
Olive Branch, IL.
 May, 1976 -- Rev. Sammy Knott became the new Pastor of the church.
During his tenure, the church experienced growth in attendance as
well as finances.
March, 1978 -- Pastor Knott left Industry Assembly to pursue other
opportunities..
 June 1978 -- Rev. David Arnett became the next Pastor.
1980 -- Additional space was added to the sanctuary, as well as a
new nursery, two offices, restrooms, fellowship hall, and kitchen
facilities.
September, 1982 -- Pastor Arnett left Industry to Pastor a church in
Wisconsin.
 January, 1983 -- Rev. Brandon Drysdale became the new Pastor of the
church.
July, 1985 -- Pastor Drysdale left the church.
 October 6, 1985 -- Rev. Darrel Goynes became pastor. During his
tenure, he made improvements by repairing sidewalks and purchasing
property to the north of the new church parsonage. The house on this
new property was torn down and a grass area was made for youth of
the church to play on.
Spring, 1988 -- Pastor Goynes left the church.
 Fall, 1988 -- Rev. Jeffrey Baker became the new pastor.
1990 -- Pastor Baker left to pastor the A/G church in Coal City,
Illinois.
 1991 -- Rev. David Lusch became pastor.
1993 - Pastor Lusch left for a church in Hillsboro, Illinois.
 1993 - Rev. Timothy & Marketa Southerland became the next Pastor.
During his tenure, the church paid off all debt for the 1980
addition.
 1995 -- The church purchased and paid for additional property to the
west of the church.
January, 1997 -- Pastor Tim resigned from the church to itinerant
for the mission field.
 1997 -- Rev. Tim Baum became pastor.
2000 -- Pastor Tim resigned from the church.
 2000 -- Rev. David & Chastidy Parks became the next Pastor. During
his tenure, a parking lot west of the church was completed and a 15
passenger van was purchased.
May, 2002 -- Pastor David left to itinerant for the mission field.
 August, 2002 -- Rev. Jamie & Rachel Havens became the next Pastor.
During his tenure, the van was paid off leaving the church debt
free.
November, 2003 -- Pastor Jamie left Industry Assembly.
 January, 2004 -- Rev. Jon & Robbie Keck became the church’s
fifteenth Pastor in 51 years. Since his coming to Industry, the
church has become handicap accessible, remodeled it's current
facilities, and is currently in the process of building a new
Sanctuary.
